Paris Fog
I can bear the harshness of the winter season, as long as I have a warm beverage in tow.
I am a serial tea drinker, so my options aren’t limited, however, I am jealous of coffee drinkers because you all have something tea drinkers don’t: creaminess! Coffee is usually thick and creamy and unless you’re drinking chai, regular tea just doesn’t compare. So when I am craving something a bit richer in texture, without compromising the spice- I make Paris Fog. A twist from the classical London Fog.
Here are the ingredients:
2 cups of plant-based milk (I used the blueberry lavender almond milk from Trader Joe’s since it was in my fridge, but if you want a more unflavored barista like milk, soy or oat is your best bet!)
2 bags of Tazo Vanilla Bean Macaroon Black Tea: This is where London Fog diverges into Paris Fog. Usually, this recipe is made with Early Gray tea, but I despise Earl Grey so this is what I use. It tastes like a pastry shop!
A tablespoon of maple syrup
A teaspoon of pumpkin spice or cinnamon (plus more to sprinkle on top for taste)
1/2 teaspoon of Vanilla extract
Instructions:
Add plant-based milk to a saucepan on medium heat. Add the tea bags, cinnamon, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir constantly to prevent scalding the milk, and as soon as you see it start to boil remove it from the heat.
Pour into a cute mug, sprinkle with spice
enjoy!
Serving size: 2 cups
