On AAPI Violence and Racism

When will enough be enough?

How many more communities of color need to be on the receiving end of hate crimes, murder, vitriol, and the consequences of a society that refuses to acknowledge the ways white supremacy continues to take lives? When will we acknowledge that there is a problem? My heart is heavy for all of the loss we continue to face and for families who are forced to pick up the pieces. There is so much pain right now. I don’t know how much longer we can keep living in a world like this.

There are only so many ways we can keep saying it. There are only so many streets we can march on, so many petitions we can sign…..but when will it be enough? There are many scholars, activists, and organizers who have spent decades studying and protecting those who experience gender violence, racism, discrimination, and immigration status (or a lack thereof), and the intersection of all those things. There is nothing new I can add to the conversation, so instead, I’ll just share resources on how you can get involved in your own communities:
